King’s Kurry Ltd. was founded in July 2002 to pursue intercultural trade in catering products.
The first restaurant – King's Kurry INDIA – was set up six months later. It was officially opened by the Indian and British ambassadors on 5 February 2003, with members of the press in attendance.
The founders believed they had identified a gap in the market for sophisticated Indian cuisine. The restaurant’s success proved them right: within nine days of opening it was fully booked, and has been busy ever since. Its delicious, lovingly prepared and exquisitely presented dishes are enduringly popular with diners.
Under the company’s articles of association, we share part of our success with aid organisations in India, where 10% of our profits go to support worthy causes.
The company is planning further major expansion of its regional presence and product offering.
